Employee motivation and employee recognition is a challenging task. What motivates your employee and then designing a motivation program is right approach. An employee may not feel got with reward and award but recognition in front of all employee for best and outstanding performance. It entirely depends on employee's dedication towards the goals of organization. A person's dedication and commitment towards team goals, and creating good work also means a lot. If you represent a company and are involved into employee motivation work, you need to be involved with individuals initially. You need to know a person thoroughly and try to know what a particular person is seeking from you. If you plan accordingly, you can easily win everyone's hearts and thus contribute towards profitability of a company.

Most company people make the mistake of applying same strategies every where. However, it is important to note that requirements and needs of every employee differ. Hence, it is better to understand specific requirements and act accordingly. Applying same formula may work with some staff members but in a larger scale you need to think specific solutions that actually work.

The Loyalty Institute at Aon Consulting concluded in its research that employee motivation has mainly five drivers;

Level 1: Safety and Security

Apart from physical sense of being, organizations must provide a free psychological environment.
Level 2: Rewards

Rewards are the main ingredients of program. It encourages employees to put their best in order to gain from the organizations. Organizations attempt to satisfy wants and desires of employees in the best manner.
Level 3: Affiliation

This level is attained after employees feel like belonging to the place. In this level, employees easily learn the difference between personal and organizational values to become motivated.
Level 4: Growth

Employees look towards individual growth by participating in various activities.

Level 5: Work/Life Harmony

In this stage, employees need to maintain a balance in both work and personal life.

Employee motivation is necessary for any growing business performance management as employees are building block of any business. To sustain business and business growth, it is necessary to motivate employees so that they perform their best.
